GENERATORS

Generators are classified in three ways depending on their mode of operation i.e. continuous, prime and standby.

Continuous and Prime power generators are very similar as they function as the main source of power and are designed to operate continuously or for extended periods of time.

Standby or Emergency generators are able to run only when there is an outage to the utility grid or the main source of power in a back situation.

Charge Controllers

A solar charge controller prevents overcharging by limiting the current flowing into the batteries. The key to extending battery life in a solar system is to protect batteries from a complete discharge/ overcharge.

Batteries

The main benefits of photovoltaic systems are no monthly billing charges, solar P.V systems are durable, the systems are suitable for any part of the country (e.g. under-served areas), no noise pollution is generated and the
production of power is environmentally friendly.

SOLAR PANELS

Solar pumps offer a clean and simple alternative to fuel-burning engines
and generators for domestic water, livestock and irrigation. They are most effective during dry and sunny seasons.
